how do i get ringtones for the palm treo 650?
i read online that you have to purchase a software that’s like 30 bucks and i dont wat to buy it. are there any sites that allow you to dowload and purchase the ringtones like other phones???

You can make your own mp3 ringtones for your Treo. There’s an application called Minitones downloadable @ http://www.everythingtreo.com/ (or you can just Google Minitones and get a list of download locations.)
Install Minitones (its FREE, by the way) and put some mp3s you like on the SD card. Minitones finds them, and lets you trim (or not) the song to the part you want for your ringtone and then saves the new file and adds it automatically to the list of available Tones for your phone. Very cool, and works well installed on either the card or from RAM.
